MYWOT.COM

aka

"WEB OF TRUST"

 Has a
POOR Reputation!

www.mywot.com

www.Mywot.com is anything but a fair and objective rating system. They promote and allow poor reviews against hundreds of companies in 1 click via their mass rating tools, which certainly leads to inaccurate and malicious ratings. Then they start you out rated as a bad site so you're forced to signup and posts rebuttals. They also delete good comments that disagree with their so called "Platinum [anonymous] users", who seem to be a bunch of uneducated morons who have no regard for the truth or common decency. And if you suggest legal action against their false ratings, Sami Tolvanen from WOT will say they are not subject to U.S. laws and they will have you added as a "phishing site" in www.hosts-file.net knowing that it's not true. They will also make sure your rankings never go up no matter how many good reviews you receive, and will defame and attack all sites residing on the same server just in case any of them "might" be yours.

Oh wait, as if that wasn't enough, that's not all they do if you protest their misconduct! They will always keep the false [bad] comments listed at the top of your ratings, will encourage their users to posts more bad ratings against you via their "forum", and they will set an automated script to instantly disagree with anyone who dares to give you a good rating.

*Note that MyWot focuses their attacks against U.S. based businesses while protecting Finland Companies from their mass rating tool.

When I think of Mywot.com aka "Web of Trust," I see 2 crooks dressed like

cops with 10 trolls doing their dirty work... All of whom should be in jail.

Is this really the same guy who is running "Web of Trust"??? Well,

that would seem to explain why there is a lack of truth or moral fiber

in their ratings. He "Hates Everyone."

 Many, many more....

www.MyWot.COM was Sued by 10 companies in Florida for fraud, defamation, manipulating ratings, and mass attacks against U.S. based businesses. I promise you the accusations are true.

How reliable is www.mywot.com? Not very reliable at all.

Example: BBB (Better Business Bureau) rating after 11 years in business (A+): http://www.bbb.org/centralohio/business-reviews/investigators/usinfo-search-in-columbus-oh-63001744

Now check the same site through Mywot (F-) being bashed by people like G7W who were NEVER customers. We dont even sell anything to the public.

Judge for yourselves. MyWot bashers target U.S. small businesses until they pay up!

I have spent 11 years building my business and am now one of their victims as well.

www.Facebook.com partner www.mywot.com is a Finland company that attacks U.S. Based businesses with their mass rating tool that allows poor reviews against 100s of us in 1 click. Im still curious as to why anyone would have the need to complain about 100s of our companies at once, but that seems to be one of the issues pending in court.

Mywots whole business model is a scheme meant to injure U.S. businesses for profit. Heres how it works:

They get as many anonymous posters bashing as many businesses as possible and make them believe they are doing good for the Wot Community. They want unidentified and anonymous posters because asking for identification would discourage false statements, which the business is built on. False postings drive revenue to line their pockets and here is how:

When businesses see the bad postings and complain to wot (no phone), they receive an email telling them they have to sign up and post a rebuttal. When that doesnt change the rating, and it doesnt, WOT suggest you have your customers signup too and defend you (how embarrassing). This means the more bad ratings, the more complaints and the more signups. Thus, the reason for the mass rating tool developed in 2008 is to allow their postings to drive more revenues via more unfounded and frivolous opinions. Who cares about the businesses having to ask clients to post a review because someone listed false information to begin with? I promise you MyWot doesnt. They absolutely refuse to investigate false postings because they want them!

Businesses are encouraged to pay $500.00 for the MyWot seal of trust once a year. Essentially, I believe, that buys you protection from the mass defamatory postings.

MyWots secret rating algorithm is nothing more than a sham. Its terminology they use that gives them an excuse about why there are so many inconsistencies in the rating system that they dont want to explain. They dont want to explain it because they manipulate the ratings behind the scenes, Which is why some businesses that really are shady have good ratings while legitimate companies who havent paid up yet have poor ratings.

What MyWot has done It is irresponsible and unforgivable. Any legitimate rating site would (and does) ask for the raters name, phone etc. And theres absolutely no excuse for bashing businesses 100s at a time. Who in the world has a gripe or complaint against 100 companies at a time? Obviously nobody does and for MyWot.com to even offer a tool such as this speaks to their credibility, or lack thereof.

Many WOT users have caught on to this scheme, which really isnt that brilliant, and abandoned WOT. And many were temporary users asked by businesses to post the truth about real experiences (not imaginary).

I suspect the walls will come crashing down on them soon and have no doubt that 90% of their so called registered users were one time visitors trying unsuccessfully to right the wrong done to them.

When I protested their completely false reviews from 2008 recently, they actually lowered my ratings and removed the good ones. Not only that, every time one of our clients add a good rating, the overall rating still goes down? Thats even though no new lower ratings were posted.

***If they dont like what you say, you will find your comments and ratings are removed.

What www.mywot.com and their users do to businesses is just flat wrong. They know they are posting a lot of false information with no verification at all. Their ratings are very unreliable, if not outright malicious.br />
